The first thing I learnt from this class of digital marketing is that this is a very beautiful application of  marketing  your products using technology , engaging your customers and creating brand awareness through electronic channels online like social media, Email, online advertising etc.

Marketing is the spine of any business to boost sales. Marketing has always been
there with the inception of any business and as time has progressed to 21^st century, marketing also has acquired different tools and latest is digital .Digital marketing has infinite potential and will always stay now onwards as it is directly linked to needs and consumer behaviour. Solution to any needs give birth to new needs and hence it’s ever expanding area.  

It is even more beautiful in the sense that through this channel even an introvert person also can do the marketing just by learning few skills. I said this because essence of marketing is essentially a good communication to inform your audience about your products and its usage .and in digital marketing also communication skills are applied in a different form.

There are certain steps to apply to achieve your goal of lead generation.
          The first step is to find out the most fascinating niche, one is most comfortable with. You should have knowledge and passion for the topic and you will need to do assessment of market available. Any big market can be broken in smaller building blocks. For example fashion is a very big industry and contains clothes, accessories and jewelleries. Again it can be broken into ladies fashion and gent’s fashion. Accessories may contain metal products, leather products, belts, purses etc.  Jewellery can be expensive, semi expensive or material can be gold or gems etc.  One can choose one smaller building block to create brand and make online presence. For example one can be expert in semi expensive crystal jewellery. This can be the person’s niche.

           The Second step is related with communication. It is the basic skill of digital marketing to facilitate the exchange of ideas, products and services. Improvement in communication can be achieved through reading, writing and speaking and publishing videos related with your niche. Writing is very important as it slows down the thought process and message can pass more effectively with more clarity for larger audience.

It is recommended to read a lot, watch videos, sitcoms a lot and write a lot. One can read any book of choice, watch any video of choice or listen any audio of choice. One can write any topic of choice of any length but has to do to improve the communication skill, the very first step. This way one can learn the intricacy of any language including its grammar. This is similar to learn your mother tongue just by reading and writing. There are no grammar lessons given to kids for mother tongue and no body teaches it in a class.

It is always advisable to learn a second language. Second language will add to your communication skills.  Mandarin can be a better choice along with English as china is a very big global market and still expanding. It is highly competitive world today and any business owner needs to approach the market in an integrated capsule of methods and activities.
The third step is to run an integrated digital marketing campaign which is centred around content marketing, After publishing on blog you can do SEO,  Social Media advertising, Email marketing ,Paid advertising and sell and convert. Integrated digital market offer higher returns on Investment and

So to start with , content related with your niche can be published on a blog and shared it on social media and you will  start getting search engine traffic through which email list is build up. And through the email list, you can get back the traffic back to content and paid advertising helps into it. This cycle ends in sales and conversions.
